expectations

At the end of the day we want to see your hearts and natural tenancies shine through. Don’t try to please me by doing everything right or by posing the right way. The purpose of me photographing you and your day is to document the persons you are and the moments you share in a very natural way.

Most of the best shots aren’t planned. Throughout the day I want to be a fly on the wall; an observer. I want to let your day flow organically and photograph what's around me. With regards to portraiture specifically, I take total creative control. Sure, I give some casual guidance and direction, but the gold comes when we least expect it. That's why I leave plenty of room for spontaneity.

Not only is Tyler extremely talented but he let my husband and I be us! He encouraged our laughter and joking around and was helpful from day one with guiding us through the logistics.

I do my best to create a relaxed atmosphere in which you can be comfortable, but it’s your job to be willing to show me your true selves and the way you interact.

I am BIG on communication and want to invest in you as a couple. I want to be a main contributor to keeping your day fun and stress free. Having shot well over 200 weddings I know the inns and outs, what works and what doesn't, and how to effectively get the most out of your wedding day. I'll even help facilitate certain events throughout the wedding. I've been told that I double as a make-shift wedding planner.

I want to meet with you guys at least once before the wedding, ideally do an engagement session with you, and just get to know one another as best we can. I always want to be available for questions and to help walk you through the wedding timeline and help manage the right expectations.
